Courses available:

The Ascent Programme offers training and career development opportunities to employed women and provides fully funded 5 day ILM management courses to women who live in the convergence areas in Wales, this includes Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Bridgend, Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen.

We are currently running courses in these areas for more information please contact Laura McKeown on 01443 824410. Suitable for employed women who are supervising a team or aspiring to be a team leader, higher level courses available for first line managers and managers.

FOOD HYGIENE (1 Day) This course is held over a day and is FREE to residents from the Cyfarthfa Ward.

FIRST AID (1 Day) This course is held over a day and is FREE to residents from the Cyfarthfa Ward.

COOKING CLASSES A 10 week course which is FREE and is available to residents who live in the Cyfarthfa Ward. You will have the opportunity to cook some delicious recipes and take them home for the family to enjoy.

COMPUTER CLASS Introduction to Computers is a FREE course. Learn Basic Computer skills in a relaxed environment, classes run for 2 hours once a week.
